Durapon70® is a resin blend of proprietary acrylic and 70% polyvinylidine fluoride (PVDF). It provides color stability, gloss retention, abrasion resistance, chemical resistance and film flexibility. Durapon70® comes in a variety of standard colors including metallic metallic finishes.

Durapon70® is applied to a viariaty of substrates including hot dipped galvanized, zinc-aluminum, and alloy steel (Galvalume®). Durapon70® is applied in a topcoat, primer, back side coat system that will provide resistance to color fading, chalking, and the resin base resists dirt pick-up and a finish that is scratch, stain, and mark resistant.

Durapon70® uses infrared (IR) reflective or “cool” pigmanents that comply with energy conservation initiatives such as LEED, Title 24, Energy Star®, and ASHARE and meet requirements for steep and low slope roofing and wall application. “Cool” pigmented coal coatings can help reduce energy consumption for living space and reduce expansion and contraction of panels.
